Rounding up Charlotte's latest restaurant news
October brought with it more permanent closures for a number of Charlotte-area restaurants. But, on the other hand, several restaurant operators opted to move forward with expansion plans.
Local establishments that closed for good last month include newer additions and long-standing spots alike. In uptown, French brasserie La Belle Helene and sister concept Parliament Espresso & Coffee closed at the 300 South Tryon Building after less than three years. Other restaurants to shutter that had been part of the local culinary scene for decades include Jimmie’s Restaurant in Mint Hill and The White Horse Restaurant in Rock Hill.
